Default How can I help my boyfriend earn a degree in prison?

My boyfriend is currently incarcerated in our local jail, and eventually will be moved to a prison in VA -- he has not been sentenced for everything yet but will be facing about 3 to 5 years. He already has his GED, but he's also a convicted felon. I want him to get an education / degree of trade school certificate while he's locked up and help him find a career path to follow when he is released. My question is, WHERE DO I START? Are there any colleges that accept inmates and do they offer classes / degrees that he can work on while he's incarcerated? Are there any resources that will help him find work when he gets out? I want him to be able to hit the ground running when he gets out but also its going to affect his sentencing if he can show the judge that hes bettering himself from behind bars. Any suggestions as to how I can help him, particularly in Virginia, would be greatly appreciated !
