Default Really scared (nervous) need advice

Ok, here's my story.....
My man was tried and convicted in 1994 of attempted murder and rape, here's his story....
he stopped in a bar for a drink, it was raining outside and he was traveling back from Florida on his bike, so he took time out for the rain to stop. The barmaid, got friendly with him and discovered he had drugs, they went outside to her car and had consensual oral sex. She called her boyfriend and brother to complete the drug deal. They went out of town to complete the transaction, they tried to rob my man, and he defended himself (that's where the attempted murder charge came in). He considered himself lucky to have escaped with his life, didn't think much more about it til detectives showed up at his house days later. When he went to court, they offered him a plea bargain to drop the attempted murder charge if he plead guilty to rape, he refused to plead guilty to something he didn't do. So, he was convicted, was sentenced to 98 years!!!!!!! They did DNA and it didn't match............WTF???? Anyways, he's been locked up since then, has been a model prisoner.About 2 years ago, the same 3 people that tried to rob him did indeed try to rob another guy but there's a twist....they KILLED this guy, well apparently the girl recanted her story about my man to get a lesser sentence.. He's got a hearing in March. From what I understand his lawyer wants him to plead guilty to attempted murder. It carries a 38 year sentence, and from what I hear Indiana has half time so he may be released. My question is this...............what do you think his chances are that he'll be released???? It's like I told him, I wasn't here when his journey began but will be here when it ends..............I love him so much, doesn't matter how long he has left I will be there for him.
Thanks for your time and input...............

Odds could be good. But it depends on how good of a PD he has... It also depends on what the max time he could be sentenced to @ that time.
Also if the DNA doesn't match I would try to get that charge dropped all together where it wont show up at all!!!!
Also it could be best for the others to be sentnced first & have her testimony sworn in as record. That was he might get the Prosecutor for malicious prosection.
Sue his pants off! recoup some lost wages...Will be hard to do. But if all works out it could be a new trail & he could be found innocent with a clean record(or as clean as it was prior to ths thing happening to him).
Also if I remember they had a full fledged parole board then too...Would he be on any kind of paper at all also? I would ask that too.
