Always the early bird, jemison, Thank You for starting our November Cafe!

I forget, has John applied for Disability? I hope so, though I know it takes a while to get. I know its stressful to not be able to pay all the bills....right now I'm being sued by 1 (of 6) credit card companies, the others will probably follow suit (pun intended) soon. I guess that's what happens when one picks up a felony, loses a good job and just can't pay anymore. So....I feel ya. Kick Darion's BUTT! He's at that age when ya just gotta put your foot down, set boundaries and stick with them consistently. Good luck...been there done that. Keep in mind that you can do an excellent job as a parent and they STILL screw up. You know that old saying: "You can lead a horse to water, but...." Try to look forward to your trip; I'm looking forward to it for ya

Speaking of not being able to pay bills , my hours have been cut at work. I was only getting 25/week anyway, now its down to 15/week . My Mr is making good money.....BUT! I've always been independant, paid my own way, and it just kills me to have to use his money. Oh, he gives it to me, but I put it up, taking only what I absolutely have to have.

I don't know about ya'll......but I am so glad Halloween is over for another year. Now I can dread the Holidays My family (other than my daughter) do not know My Mr is home Momma blames him for my felony and the loss of my career. She will not forgive easily, if at all and I just can't see goingn to family gatherings without My Mr . I'd better be thinking real hard on what to do

Its going to be a beautiful day!! Yep, staying positive here Things always seem to have a way of working out.

mykygal: How are you today? Have you filed for divorce? Is your Mister still home? I keep hoping that things will get better for you both, but you take care of you.....you know what you need.

sass: I see you're light on quite a bit.....are ya doing ok? Glad you got your brakes fixed, I know that's a huge relief!!

RainMan: So????? How did it go? Got your license?

Good Evening Everyone:

RainMan: Hope you got your license. Sent alot of prayers your way.

Well, things could be better, been trying to stop smoking and the results are way less than I hoped. Tried that new medicine the doc gave me but
my family has been complaining that I have been really hateful and snappish, one of the side effects of the meds. I have decide to wait til after the holidays are over to try again.

Really depressed the last few days, (son's birthday tomorrow) but at least he is going to call. I was hoping to visit my son the week of thanksgiving (on sat) and my husband came home tonight and told me he has to work. UGH Now we are going to try to visit him the following week.

My daughter moved out a couple of weeks ago, and I'm feeling that empty nest. Luckily, my daughter works at the same place as me, so I am really trying hard to show her support. She goes to college and works, so proud.
Bills are starting to pile up and so is the stress level.

Hope everyone is doing well (as can be) and I am REALLY trying to stay optimistic.

Hi friends!

Jemison.....what a sweetheart you have there! Thanks for sharing, and thank you for the prayers.

Patch....I'm a slackin', lol...well not really. I have been working on my pre licensing material, but have been logging some major hours for my brother in law, with his medicare supp. business....and we really need the cash now, soooooooo, the license can wait a bit....

My 17 yr. old daughter, Angela is having a better week, so things have "calmed down" a bit, though my wife has missed a couple days of work with a migraine due the the stress, we believe. I've been doing all the cooking, cleaning, shopping, whatever it takes so she can stay in bed. Hopefully she'll be back to work tomorrow, then is off the weekend.

Redbanjo...thank you for the good thoughts, and prayers.....can never have enough of those. I always keep you all in our nightly prayers. We try to pray as a family on a nightly basis.

Wishing everyone a wonderful, peaceful weekend !

RM

jem- I can't believe how big she has gotten but then again, it has been 2 years since we saw her that time! She's a beauty. I hope things work out for you in the drama/change department. I'll be thinking of you.

RM- glad your daughter had a good week, hopefully there will be many more to come.

patch - sorry your hours got cut, hopefully that won't last long. Put your pride aside a little and accept that money he offers, especially if it is for your home/food/gas, he lives there too.

Redbanjo - hope things are going better for you too. Happy belated birthday to your son.

me - had some pretty good news Friday...just gotta keep fingers crossed for a little while longer to see that it plays out in our favor in the next few months.

Brakes being fixed has taken a load off my shoulders, thank goodness!

Otherwise, same ol' same ol' here, work, work, work, but I love it!

I went to arraignement for my daughter this morning, went by the jail and put money on both their books. My Mr's son has a court trial in the morning, My Mr asked me to go because he and the boy's mom both have to work. Well, yeah I'll go. Anywho.....I hope ya'll are enjoying the sunshine and warm temps, 'cause it ain't gonna last!!

Hello, Bluegrass friends! Sorry to hear that so much drama is going on with so many. Life is tough everywhere, I guess. Not filed for divorce yet - have to save money for the attorney. Could do it myself but afraid I would mess it up. I never dreamed so much was involved in getting a divorce. The job is crazy too. Getting ready to make a change that will be less pay. Trying to figure out how to do it all. Mister is still here for now. That is stressful, too, but hopefully that will all be over soon. I hate giving up but I really have to look out for myself - no one else will for sure.

Jemison - I understand totally about the depression. Hope all works out better for you soon. Will keep you in my prayers.

Patch - Sounds like you have more than you can deal with as well. Wishing you the best as well.

Sass - Keeping my fingers crossed for you that everything works out the way you want it to.

Rainman - Glad the daughter is doing better. Sounds like you are staying busy!

Redbanjo - Sorry you can't visit your son on Thanksgiving. I have to work it too but the holidays get me down so figure I may as well work so someone else can be off. Hopefully you can see him soon.

I am sorry if I left anyone out. Warm thoughts are prayers are with you all. I need to try to get some sleep. Don't get much of that anymore but trying to do better. I hope all of you have a good week. Hugs to all!!

Good morning, friends....

MyKYGal....sorry your having to go through such a struggle. Divorce is rough enough, but sounds like with your great attitude, your get through this, and the pay change. I'll keep you in my prayers.

Patch....you are sure strong, girl...just keep pluggin' away! I have not doubt you are a great deal of strength and motivation to your entire family - even if they don't say it!

Jemison....you always have a great sense of humor through all your struggles. That is very cool :-) Hang in there, new day today!

Sass....hope all is well in your neck of the woods :-)

Redbanjo...I was reading your last post, and saw where your debating the holidays...we are in a very similar situation...my wife has not spoken to her family in yrs. I used to try and bring them together, but have found it's better for US to do our own thing, with our immediate family. One thing that really has helped, is helping and reaching out to others in need through various ministry work...doesn't have to be "organized anything" we have a family that just moved in that is struggling, who I think we'll focus on this year....Anyway, I feel ya...it's tough for sure...

My father passed away in March this year, and my siblings will be spending the holidays wit their kid's and friends. Sad, but I understand. We have to just plan time together, which I"m sure we will.

Daughter still doing better....actually, has brought her grades up where they should be...she may sign up for the army reserves which (I think is a good idea), mom - not so much, lol.

Stay safe friends.

Mornin' ya'll.....the wee ones are with their paternal great-grandparents. I wasn't allowed to have them: I'm on felony probation, My Mr is on felony parole and so-on & so-forth

sass: I hope that good news just keeps getting better & better

RainMan: So glad to hear your daughter is doing better.....and I don't want to be a downer here, but if she has a pill addiction do not let your guard down. Been there and, well, still there with my daughter I'm dreading the holidays. My family doesn't know My Mr is home. I should've told them, but to tell the truth I just don't wana hear it from Momma.....and I'm a grown-arse woman in my 50's

jemison: You're right.
Quote:
people that cry ...arent weak....they are the strong ones who are tried of being strong.
I'll be the first to admit that I'm a cryer. Then I suck it up and do whatever I need to do, whether I want to or not

Redbanjo: Being hateful and snappish is not a side effect of the meds...its just part & parcel of trying to quit smoking If I tried to quit smoking I'd be meaner'n a snake

mykygal: How are you today my friend? One day at a time sweetie, one day at a time. Does legal Aid help with divorce cases? If your Mister knows you're planning on filing for divorce, is he making plans/thinking about finding some place to go? I hope he doesn't make this any harder for you than it already is

Its a windy day out there...and rain moving in. Ya'll stay safe & warm!!

I just ordered a really cool plaque that says "breathe" on it. It reminded me of you and you ordering us to do that all the time

I'm here with hot tea too, seems perfect for tonight, and I don't have any hot chocolate. Wish I had a fire too, but then I wouldn't have a place to live lol

Wishing everyone a warm weekend. No mail tomorrow sucks, but also no work tomorrow is good!
