Notice to new members intending to register - from January 9th 2012

Greetings from Maryland! i have introduced myself in the general forum but figured I would come and introduce myself in the local forum as well. My fiance' is serving his sentence at MCTC in Hagerstown MD. He has been there since January. The whole prison system was new to me when we met almost seven months ago. There were so many rules, regulations and things to go thru just to visit and talk. But communication was and continues to be the most important key to our relationship. If anyone has any questions about this facility that I can answer, I sure will. Its nice to meet everyone here and I am so blessed to have found a site to vent without judgement.

Hi ur fiance is in Jci u say, so is my boyfriend. The only thing is I'm from nyc. Do u go see ur fiance often??

hello, and thanks for the warm welcome.

luckily mine is in the same town as me, we are both born and raised here so I get to go see him twice a month, sometimes more, and his mother gets to go see him. My kids get to visit. he feels very blessed and lucky. I meet women there every week who travel really far to come see their loved one. hope everyone has a great night.

Hi..my boyfriend was just sent to MCTC a few days ago. I live in Miami.

I have not heard from him in 3 days since he has been there. how long does it take to set them up in there?

it depends on where he is within MCTC which housing unit, and the one my fiance is in, their phones were down until just tonight. i met him while he was in there, so i dont know how long it takes to initially get a phone n visiting list set up, but i have heard it takes several days. there is one housing unit on lockdown there but im not sure which on it is. i know not hearing from them is the worst.

My husband is at mctc and I live in sc.

just moved here to start us a new life not in md where we r both from. Been married three months and new to this pision thing any advice. i also hrt to see him in tendays how does it all work out?
