Default Christmas Presents

I know that most of you do extra little things for your loved ones at Christmas, such as put extra money on their books, send them books and TDCJ approved items, cards, poems, song lyrics, stuff like that, but I am just curious if anyone actually buys their loved ones gifts that they will get when they come home. I am planning on doing the norm and putting extra money on my husbands books and sending him some books through the vendor I like to use but I have also bought him a new Fossil watch that I am going to take a picture of and send him as well. I want to get him a few more things but I haven't decided what just yet. When he comes home he will get to have his Christmas. I just thought this would be a fun little topic.

I think its a great idea. I think of Christmas as a time to give and shopping for everyone shouldn't be a chore, it should be enjoyed and make you feel the love you have for the person you are buying for. I haven't done the Christmas thing, but every so often I see a shirt I would like to see my hubby in and I just buy it and tuck it away, it made me feel good that day and I know he will enjoy it when the time comes. Oh, and Fossil watches are nice

Yeah, I have been buying him clothes here and there for when he comes home so that when the time comes we don't have to buy it all at once. He has nothing but what I have bought so far. I had mentioned a few weeks ago about wanting to get him a nice watch and he said he wanted a Fossil so I got online and started looking. The one I bought on the Fossil website was $125 and I bought it new off of Amazon for $69! I am really excited about it and can't wait until Christmas! I haven't been in the holiday spirits the last several years but I am this year!

Hey yeah good idea, then you could send the picture in a colored envelope and draw a ribbon and maybe some little bells or pine cones on the envelope and make it look like a package they can open. Thanks for the idea purplerose. Oh and by the way I love your user name, if you did not have it I would.

When hunny gets a come-home date I will go Wal-Mart crazy... but no point buying outside gifts for him when he is on year 20 of 35. Now, he is having parole hearings each year, and now that 60% is served we have some hope of him coming home... but for now its money for his books, extra phone call vouchers, and things like that. Oh and he has asked me to get a few things copywrited for him, which I will send him the copywright numbers to for Christmas.
