hi I Jess, My husband is locked up doing 7 yrs at Robertson Unit( Abilene, TX). He had a drug problem which got him aggravative Robbery. He has done 4 of 7yrs. I visit when I can send packages money now trying to get registered so he can call home once and a while. Most of our visits were non contact cause he doesnt play well with others I wanted to meet others with the fustration of waiting on letters,Calls, approved packages. and just help were I can.

Hi, Jess. I know your pain well! I am from Maryland and my husband is doing time in Texas. After 3yrs of the long distance thing I finally just moved down here. It's so frustrating to send a letter and have to wait 2wks for a reply, or never knowing when you'll be able to visit. Or even flying down here just for non-contact.. That happened to me a few times.. Definitely get your phone registered when you can, the calls make such a huge difference!
