thanks and yes i am going to be calling every other day just in case the same person answers i wont get on her nerves.. i got a letter from county today and my husband says that he doesnt want me to go c him in reception to wait til i can see him in mainline.. idk how to take that..

How long before he will know where he will be. He has to do just over a year and just left county yesterday. Does he have to wait the whole 3 months before he knows where hes going? ANd he cant phone at all for the whole 3 months? UUgh any help will be great !! thanks

I wonder what makes him say that. He could be there for up to a year, and from some ladies posts on here, I see some men are there for even longer! How crazy is that..

In any case when my LO was sent to reception I called the following to day to his transfer and they gave me his CDC number and mailing address. It too a week for him to appear on te website, but as long he's housed, am pretty sure they will be able to give you that info.

Reception now days is anywhere between 2-12 months. At times even longer... Considering he only has a year to do, he wry likely won't even be mainlined anywhere and might do his entire time in reception. Yes, as long as he is in reception there are NO phone calls (the worst part!) write tons and tons of letters. They help immensely. Once approved for visiting, you can go visit (one hour behind glass) he must send you the signed form via mail. Mail it back in ASAP.

i know ive wrote back already telling him that there is no way on earth that im going to wait a year to see him that he better send me the form and another one for his mom cuz we want to see him.. he says that he is tired of seeing us thru glass that he feels like a caged monkey at the zoo being put on display.. i havent seen him since two weeks before easter and now he wants to make me wait longer.. i am going to be calling again tomorrow around mid day to see if they can give me his cdc# and then again on monday n every business day until they do give me it.. thanks a lot for your help..

As crazy as it may sound, I can understand where he's coming from. I cannot wait for a damn contact visit myself. Being able to touch his face! Ugh.. But we must be patient. It will take another up to two months before you get approved on the form. I really hope he sends it to you guys.. Even though it's behind a glass, I'm sure those visits will mean a lot to him too.

thanks a lot and yeah i cant wait to be able to touch his face to feel his pulse all over again.. its been a while since ive seen him nor touched him.. but once i can see him again even behind glass it will be worth it..

Wats up hey my hunny got sentenced to 3 years not sure if he's doin half or 85% but he's been in wasco rc for three months already u think he might do his time there insted of getting mainlined

I send greeting cards in colored envelopes and never had an issue. I have never sent newspaper cut outs but my husband told me people received them all the time while he was in reception @ Wasco

My boyfriend has been in wasco about a month and told me he hasn't seen his counselor yet, He has to serve 85% of 2 years, he got credited for doing 5 months in county.. I just want to know his official release date :/ He said he didn't know that either.. Does anyone know about how long it takes? Oh and quick question? Can you send magazine cut outs?
