As of jan. 20, 2012 all white inmates in A yard buildings 1-5 as well as whites, blacks, abd others in b1 and northern inmates in b6 ARE ON LOCKDOWN and have NO visits.. all other inmates normal visiting... Have a safe weekend ladies..

All white & hispanic inmates in A1- A5 are on lockdown..
as well as blacks, whites, and other inmates in B1 and all hispanics in B6

North Kern State Prison is located at 2737 West Cecil Avenue in Delano, Ca.

All Visitors must have prior approval before visiting an inmate.
It is the inmates responsibility to provide CDC form #106 Title: Visiting Questionaire.
The form must be submitted to the institution before you can visit.
It can take approx. 30 days before application to be approved..
It is the inmates responsibility to inform you of your approval or denial.

Choose option #3 , and # 3 again for North Kern State Prison, then #1 for general prison infomation.

This is the Lockdown Status as of: April 13th 2012


All Inmates in Facility B5 are on Lockdown
All Hispanic Inmates in Facility B6 are on Lockdown..


All other inmates are on normal program.




To Make Visiting Appointments

For ASU and non-contact appointments, call (661) 720- 4952 Mondays or Thursdays between 9am and 1pm.

For visiting appointments by phone, call (661) 720-4952 Mondays or Wednesdays between 7-8am and 12-1pm.

For visiting appointments by email:

Email your request(s) to: cdcrinstitutionskvspvisiting@cdcr.ca.gov
Include inmate's name and CDC #, the date and time(s) you would like to visit and your name. You must send a separate email for each day you wish to visit and they must be sent 24 hours apart. Appointments can be requested up to two weeks prior to visiting. You will receive an email confirmation.
