And, I did not say he should not be held accountable for his actions, if you would have read my post right. I believe that there could/should be other ways of handeling this type of offense.

I am not here to judge people and maybe you should make it a part of your stay on PTO as well.

He's waiting on sentencing for 2 cases, one of which we are on together. That one is 3 counts of Forgery, and my court date is February 14th and I'm assuming his as well (what a day for a plea day huh?).
The other case is burglary, theft by deception, and theft by receiving stolen property. Public defender says that burglary and theft by deception should get dropped. That court date is supposed to.be January 12th but may be moved BC publice defender has another hearing in another county and may not make it to both.
Don't know What he's looking at. Haven't really talked to public defender about that. But everyone that he has talked to in his dorm in county says he's gonna come home after court with a good bit of probation. Sounds good to me, but I don't wanna get my hopes up and I don't want him to get his up either.

Does he have any priors? My BF had just got done in Jan 2010 doing a ten year sentence and then 9 mths later got arrested on these charges and they were trying to go hard at first b/c of his history. Fortunately he was blessed. I would definitely look up the charges on google and see what the max is and if he does have priors, they may offer him something crazy. I will say my BF's bunkmate in county was arrested on some burglary & dealing in stolen property charges and the burglary charges got dropped but b/c he was scared he took their first offer of 6 yrs. I bet if he had held out, he would have gotten a lot less time. But it just depends on your prosecutor. Good luck! In my opinion, I wouldnt ever go by a 1st offer but just take the lawyers advice.

My bf was initially charged with murder under "joint criminal enterprise" - his friend admitted to stabbing a man and causing his death.. My Alex and his other friend copped the same charge.. Eventually the prosecutor lessened the charge to manslaughter to which he pleaded guilty.
I was present at the crime and know he didn't even hit anyone.. Such bullshit..
So yeah 5 years... Down to 4 years for an early plea... 2 years inside 2 years parole
