2012 Official Card Swap Holidays and how to host a swap / Updated

Thank everyone for voting on which Holidays we will be doing 'official swaps' for this year. Here is our official list of 2012 Card Swap Holidays:

1/21- National Hug Day

2/14- Valentine's Day

3/17- St. Patrick's Day

4/8- Easter

Month of May- Love your (In)mate Month

5/13- Mother's Day

6/17- Father's Day

7/4- Independence Day

8/5- National Friendship Day

Month of September- Recovery Month

9/5- Labor Day

10/7- World Smile Day

10/31- Halloween

11/13- World Kindness Day

11/24- Thanksgiving

12/25- Christmas

I am in Jody....Hope I catch all the swaps, sometimes I am not on everyday and miss some of the threads. And you know how my LO loves to get mail and cards from his PTO family.

Woohooo count me in for all the swaps I'm excited!!!! now that we are keeping running totals each month, at the end of the year we can total all the months to see how many cards got sent out over the course of the year

Mel, I think that is a very good idea. hmmm can we hit over 10,000 for the year 2012. That is about 833 cards per month. Only time will tell we got a long year to reach that number

Every month there is a swap the next should be Valentine's when u see it posted in the card thread u can most definitely let whoever is hosting know ur interested

Yes, all the swaps work the same way. You will see a sticky when the Holiday is approaching and you'll PM your names to whoever is hosting that swap. The same 'rules' apply as from Christmas, also... sending 3 cards out for every name you submit

Hey everyone, As you all know over the past few months we have had different members hosting swaps some with members of staff and some on their own.

So after seeing which way works the best we have now decided that all swaps will be hosted with a member of staff. We are still want all our wonderful members to host swaps but we think its works better when there are two people with a copy of the lists

As always if you have any comments or questions feel free to post here or Pm any of the Card Swap Staff.

Lisa I will be PMing you about what you posted. At one time I asked to host a swap and I was told that I couldn't cause I wasn't an active member long enough which made sense at the time. However there have been members who became a member after I did and have hosting a SeP. So my question to this where is the fairness in that ? But like I said I will PM on this as well just as soon can get to my computer. It's a lot easier and faster for me to type a PM I'm computer than phone.

I understand your question nessbuddy and over the past few months we have tried looking at different ways of ensuring that swaps are held successfully. If you would still like to co host a swap in the future then i would be happy to add you to the list. And of course you can pm me with any questions
