That was my same exact question when I saw the notice. Hopefully, they are working on the backlog that they have....

You can't get them by phone, you can't get them by email, they don't respond to snail mail - and now the last option for many they cancel. Frustrating to say the least. My husband is apparently part of the back log - he's had a TPM since July, that they changed to November.....obviously, November didn't happen either!

I have tried to call for the last two days the first day it said they were having technical difficulties and then yesterday was put on hold for over 30 minutes. I hope that things are caught up by May when my baby has a TPM. This is very frustrating, I haven't even tried today..

I was told by them that they still review. This is the PUBLIC meeting, not the reviews being cancelled. He said he needs to change it so it stops confusing people

Default Frustrating

It's so frustrating that the March 13, 2012 public meeting is POSTPONED yet AGAIN until further notice. Does anyone know what's going on or WHY they keep on posting it? My hubby is eligible for parole since Oct. but I had been calling to parole like crazy and all they told me was that "they are working on it".

I should investigate further before commenting.

However, with the Ga State Govt running in the Red, [out of money] the priority on the probation process has possibly taken a back seat to something "they" consider to be imperative and urgent.

Remember, that many people think those incarcerated should be executed for stealing a car stereo, and so forth for those who committed heinous crimes like getting caught with dope three times.

Inmates get little if any pity, yet Big Business, CEO's and Banking Executives can cause the US Economy to go belly up, and that's just ok.

I think China's take one White Collar Crime is more fitting.
I had a newspaper article where 5 people were convicted of "Graft Crimes" stealing from a Banking Institution.
The total take was some $375,000 in US dollars.

The 5 were executed by a bullet to the back of the head, the families were sent a bill for the round expended.

When multiple millions of Americans lose their homes, and were given loans by banks that "knew" they could not afford them, then took out
Mortgage Insurance "in excess of the value of the property" on the loans so when the homeowner defaulted, the bank made even more money than if they paid the mortgage.

These were called "Ninja" Loans, No-Income, No-Job, No-Assets, No-Problem

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/No_Income_No_Asset

So with "forethought and malice" these white collar criminals mostly run free.

Last night a news story ran on one. A banker loaned $100 million to his buddy, the guy defaulted, the judge fined the banker the MAXIMUM under Federal law, $50,000

Quote:
My Dad told me when I was 12-14~,
"Boy, let me tell you this, if you get into trouble, you're going to Jail, I am nobody. The young boys who's Dad is rich or is somebody, he'll get a slap on the wrist, you won't"
Now, those "Boys" are called "Good-ol-Boys" and are insolent and above the law, because they Wrote the Law.

My rant for the hour.

I talked to the Parole Board's spokesman, he did say the meetings are just public, not business... but I definitely share in the frustration! Stay strong.
