Here is your 2012 thread for ADSeg (HOLE) / SHU qestions for CCI.

Please use this thread for any questions you have about these units. Remember that Level 2 does have a small section that is the HOLE as well as leve 4A. All persons in any of these units do require you to make an appointment to visit them.

Hi ladies my hubby's SHU is up 4/9/12 I was wondering about how long any of your loved ones have been waiting to transfer out my hubby's counselor said its gonna be awhile so kind wondering how long awhile might be and how long after their SHU was over did it take to move them to Ad/seg ?? We are pending transfer to KVSP in Delano thanks for any info

My hubby is on 4A and I got a letter dated 5/20 and he did not mention anything if I hear of anything I will post hope you hear from him soon I know how important letters are have a great day

Omg really I actually got a letter yesterday dated 5/19-5/20 he said that mail was backed up i thought I was just being parnoid..he says he cant call either cuz there's no phone ??is this true

Yes while in the SHU and AD/SEG no phone calls only letters suckkkks lol my hubby shu was up 4/9 so he was moved to ad seg pending transfer I had heard like 4-6 months for transfers ughhhhhhh praying it's soon glad you got a letter it's fast at times then others its weeks and at times mail is MIA very frustrating but my advice is just keep writing lol cause mail is all we got

I forgot to say in my post they allow visits too behind glass 1 hr visits u need to call and make a appointment to visit

Hello ladies,

So my boyfriend was just moved either to Ad-Seg or SHU...I'm not 100% which yet. I'm so confused though, because he was just in level 1 and now this. What are some reasons for this move? He told me they'd move him to level 2 for better access to the medical facilities (he has kidney disease), but I was told he's in 4A, is that in level 2 yard? If so, would they put him in Ad-Seg or SHU due to medical reasons?

Please I'm desperate to know!

How is it there? I'm so nervous, scared and worried. I mean, do they get more time added for the change?

Just wanted to clarify, does level 2 have the HOLE too and a 4A or is 4A a completely different yard?

Hello,
I got a card this week saying my hubby was going to be moved then another letter this week saying he'd be transferred and just curious how long it takes to transfer inmates he' going to Ironwood?? and which company to use to recieve calls from him?? help im getting worried I checked online and it says he's still in Tehachapi

Hello jenncas,

I'm not familiar with the transfers or how long it takes, but as far as phone calls - unless they use a different phone company - it should be GlobalTel Link. In order to set up an account with them you have to fax over a copy of your phone bill with the phone number you wish to use. From there your husband should be able to call you. Just remember that you're only given $100 credit, so if you reach the $100 and you haven't paid you won't receive any more phone calls. You don't even have to pay the full amount or wait to get to the full amount...you can make even like $5 payments along the way to avoid blocking of the line.

Hello all I checked this morning and they moved him back to R.J. Donovan ?? does anyone know why they do this?? ugh no phone calls now not fair maybe he'll be getting out soon haha I can only hope right

They dont get more time added to the change just there normal sentence

they are allowed one package a year.... My hubby sent me a form from a catalog listing all the items he wanted and I purchased it it online

I ask because he just got there from Ironwood and hed been there almost 2 years. I know he got a annual package in the hole. Just wondering if i have to wait till next year or because he transferred hes allowed to recieve another package. Mayb hell be lucky ... its the Shu maybe not

Does anyone know who is the counselor for 4B or SHU? If so what's his name and his direct number plz. i really need to ask him a question. i need to send my hubby his legal paper work asap. As it is i had sent it Aug 24 and i barely got it returned today...im sooo upset!!!!

Call the records department and they will be able to tell you.

yess i know...i had to go back to the post office resend it, this time w/o the bubbled envelope...(wow if you knew the condition the paperworrk came inside the bubbled package came in!) i can just imagine how it would get there this time around without it being padded. anyhow yup he sent me a letter sayin he got it and was ready to send em out!...
