Summary:
Boston Pre-Release Center is a 150-bed community based level three/two (3/2) Correctional facility. It is a structured program, which allows gradual transition from prison life to the community by means of reintegration through releases to work, education, and counseling programs.

Visiting Information:

Visiting Hours: Daily 1:00pm-4:00pm and 6:00pm-9:00pm

General Visiting Information:
There are no limitations on the number of weekly visits an inmate may have. A single visit may last the entire visiting period. Although, visiting period may be terminated due to overcrowding. In this case, it is first in, first out. Up to 4 adults and 4 children are allowed to visit at one time. Nothing is allowed in the visiting room except for: money for vending machine (up to $10.00 per visitor), Prescribed Medication that would be required for immediate use, vehicle or locker key, baby articles, and jewelry on person.

INMATE FUNDS
Visitors may deposit checks or money orders in the drop box located in the lobby area for deposit in the inmate's account. Cash will not be accepted.

Dress Code:
Bathing suits, bare mid-riffs, spaghetti straps, halter tops, see-through clothing are not allowed.

**Please Note**
Inmates on orientation status, unemployed or in-house due to a disciplinary sanction shall receive visits on Monday to Friday from 6:00pm to 9:00pm only. On weekends and holidays these inmates may receive visits during all regularly scheduled visiting periods. Inmates who do not go out to work release, scheduled program (in-house or out of the institution), work crew or are unable to complete their assigned (in-house) job due to being sick will not be eligible to receive a visit for that day.

Visits will not be processed between 2:45PM and 3:15PM to allow for change of shift.

SOUTH:

Take Rt. 24 North to Rt. 128 North. Take exit 2B Rt. 138 (Milton) approximately 3 miles to Blue Hill Ave (Mattapan Square). At approximately 1 mile at the intersection of Blue hill Ave/Walk Hill Street, take a left (Top of the Hill deli). Pass through 3 sets of lights and take a right on Canterbury Street (St. Michael's Cemetery is on the corner). Site is on the right just past the Youth Center.
NORTH:

Take Rt. 128 South to exit 2B Rt. 138 (Milton) approximately 3 miles to Blue Hill Ave. (Mattapan Square). At approximately 1 mile at the intersection of Blue Hill Ave/Walk Hill Street, take a left (Top of the Hill Deli). Pass through 3 sets of lights and take a right on Canterbury St. (St. Michael's Cemetery is on the corner). Site is on the right just past the Youth Center.
BOSTON:

Take Jamaica Way to the Forrest Hills exit. Take a right at the bottom of the ramp on to Washington Street. Go 2 sets of lights and take a left over bridge and a right on to Hyde Park ave. First set of lights, take a left onto Walk Hill street. (Dunkin Donuts). At approximately 1/2 mile, take a left on to Canterbury St. (St. Michael's Cemetery is on the corner). Site is on the right just past the Youth Center.
BOSTON:

Take Expressway South to Granite Ave. exit and follow Granite Ave. to Gallivan Blvd. intersection and take a left. Follow Gallivan Blvd. (Rt. 203) approximately 1.5 miles which will change into Morton Street. (Norfolk Hardware) bear right and follow to 4 sets of traffic lights. Take a left on to Harvard St. At next set of lights, take a right on Walk Hill St., Pass through set of lights and take a right on to Canterbury St. (St. Michael's Cemetery is on the corner). Site is on the right just past the Youth Center.
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION:

From Forest Hills T Station: Take Bus #21 or #31 Morton St. to Canterbury St., Walk on Canterbury to Site.
