Hi my name is Patty, my boyfriend and the love of my life was in a serious accident while work on the new EOP hospital on the B yard facility of CSP Sacramento (Folsom) on October 14,2011. While working for the prison he fell off a ladder his supervisor was suppose to be holding but got called away and Dennis (the love of my life) fell and broke his leg in two places. The Prison EMT arrived and used Dennis' supervisors utility knife to cut his boot off. His foot was getting yanked around while they tried to stablize it. Everything was being videotaped by the gaurds up until he was put in the ambulance. He was taken to Mercy Hospital where he was told they couldn't help him and they would be transfering him to UC Davis.

While he was waiting to be transfered to UC Davies a doctor and nurse came in and said they needed to try to set his foot before they transported him. They both grabbed a hold of his leg and foot and yanked on it about 7 times then wrapped it really tight.

When he arrived at UC Davis his foot was purple, and he was told , "who ever wrapped your foot wrapped it to tight and it was cutting off his circulation. So they knocked him out and when he woke up he had pins and bolts in his leg but he wasn't worried because he could still move his toes.

They kept him in ICU for 10 days and never contacted his family. His celly had to call his mother to have her call Dennis mother. Then when his family was try to call and find out what happened it took another day in a half before they allowed his to call his family.

In the meantime after a few days in traction the doctors came in and told him his arteries where to badly damaged and they were going to have to amputate his leg or he would get gangrene and die. So Dennis signed the papers and they cut off his leg below his knee.

Dennis is now in Vacaville serving the rest of his sentance and he is really going through it. Dennis was arrested for a simple drug charge personal use drug charge. He was sentanced to 3 years with half, so thats a year and a half. He gets out in july. I can't believe they haven't released him. If he was in the war and lost a limb he would be home by now.

So that's it he is going through it in there and I am handling all his legal matters out here. I can't wait to see him soon if I am approved this I am waiting for the answer now. God willing I will be approved this month some time.

Welcome to PTO Patty, glad to have you join us. Sorry to hear about what happen to your sweetie. That's horrible. Soon it it will July and your love will be back in your arms. I see you have found the CA Forum. There is a lot of helpful info here within this community.

Thank you so much Closer2! I have no idea what I'm doing on this cite I just wanted to tell my story. How could I find out if someone on this cite has someone that is with Dennis at CMF? You said, "I see you found the CA Forum". Thank you but I didn't know I found CA, I just took a stab at it. Can you help me find where I can go to find someone near the love of my life?

You would have check with the members in the CA Forum to see if someone is near there.
