Visitations for Out of Staters at Robertson Texas Unit Prison

Hi, Have a son that was transferred there, can now have contact visitations, I am planning to visit after making arrangements. I found out from another family members that there is a 4 hour wait for the visitors in the parking lot as well as a "tailgate party" at the lot. Can this be true!?!? I do not want to spend my time waiting that long. Any insight would be appreciated.

Hello! I go to the Robertson Unit 3 times a month and know nothing about a 4 hour wait or a "tailgate party." I have had to wait to get into the Contact visitation but never more than an hour. Saturdays are very busy, I prefer to go on sundays, its a little more laid back. Get there early if you go on Saturday! Good luck!
