Notice to new members intending to register - from January 9th 2012

So after a long year of limbo..my boyfriend is deciding to plea..2 weeks before trial. Were both still not sure this was the best decision, but feel its the safest. His deal is 15 months from the crown..and were hopin to get it lowered to 12 or 13. I know the difference is only a few months but those will be agonizing month. If he takes the 15 he will do 4 more months and will miss my birthday for the 2nd time

12 or 13 he would be home in 2 or 2 1/2 months. I've been crying all day im so stressed and it seems every week somehting new happened and the situation constantly changed. I know this is the end of the road and i will finally know a realease date. But im so terrified and i know it will only be a few months but the last year was absolute hell having him gone! Please ladies send some good thoughts my way and postive words to help me through this.

I know it will be hard to have him gone for your birthday for a second time. But, you can think of it as a late birthday present when he does come home . You can get through this! You've been strong enough to make it the last 12 months, so 2-4 more months should be a breeze.. especially since you know it will be all over after these 2-4 more months.

so today they lowered it to 13.5 monts and i was really happy with that. That means he will only do 3 more months, BUTTT now all of a sudden he wants to goto trial again on the 12th. They changed the sentencing day to this friday n he has to make a decision to take this deal by tomorow. He is going bak n forth so much its driving me nuts!! wat do i do?? wat do i tell him? He has a good chance at winning at trial but it depends wat evidence goes in n whatnot n his lawyer is confident n says he has a good defense but that anything can happen. I want him to just tke the deal so i havepeace of mind knowing when hes coming home n the difference of time cming home if he wins is only 3 months..if he loses who knowssss what they will ask for!

Pleassee help!!

Just tell him you support his decision either way and privately pray that he takes the deal. A guaranteed release date would give both of you peace of mind, but he's the one who has to do the couple of months. It really is his decision in the end.

ya at the end of the day it really is his decision..but i just talked to him and he said hes gunna plea. Weird thing is he mite get out ON my birthday if my calculations are right!! or a few days before..or after but either way what an amzing birthday present it will be to have him home!! and right in time for summer
