As bad as it is when you don't hear from them in there, it's 100X worse when they're out and you don't hear from them.....however, our mind goes to the crazy, scary, it's all bad place in the silence. Reality is, there is so much that is beyond their control when they are in prison. If he's in the hole yes, he can write....if he has his pack up and his writing supplies with him. Many times they just go with nothing, and being locked down 23 hours a day, they are at the mercy of c/o's and other staff who may or may not be inclined to help them out. Mail rooms can also be exceptionally slow. The last letter I mailed to Romeo, 12/31/11, was returned to me about a week ago saying he was released. Like, duh. And that's even in the same state.

I hope your hear from your man soon, but don't stress it, and don't jump to the worst conclusions. He's contacted you since your visit, it went well, it's probably a hold up on his end that he has no control over. Stay strong and keep the faith.

I'm trying not to stress it so much but its amazing how the mind works n how the unknown plus all my thoughts can make one feel like they are going crazy. Yes, he did contact me after our visit so that does have me thinking it's something out of his control. I just Want to be conforted by him I miss him so much.! Staying strong Thanks a bunch.! Everyone's responses really do mean a lot to me.! if it weren't for PTO I'd be literally going nuts cuz id have nobody to talk or relate to.!

In shu,it takes a good month for my man to get his mail (longer sometimes) and about ten days for me to get a letter if he writes back the same day,sigh...
That is with the mail goimg 250 miles and no holidays to mess thhings up even more than they are.
I would call and see if he is in secure housing for some reason.

I know it sucks BAD not getting a letter! I've been going through something similar except I'm not getting certain letters that I know my fiancee has sent but I get other ones. Mail can be really weird sometimes. My dad who's at the same prison also writes me and has gotten several of my mom's and my letters returned as "undeliverable address" even though the address is written correctly and everything. I hope you get a letter today!

@Joshua's girl ..thank you so much today should go by fast for me because my favorite shows new season is today first 48 so after that ill take my ambien and go to bed and hopefully by 9AM ill have a letter I swear if I do ill probably be walking around with a kool aid smile lol

LOL! Good keep your mind off of it......it will make you go crazy if you keep thinking about it.

Well my letter is off to J.......it's my response to him being mad. I was so hurt and sad that I cried myself to sleep last night, so I hardly got any sleep.
Now I re-read J letter and there are some questions he asked me that I didn't answer because I was more focused on him being angry part. So I guess I will write him again tonight and answer those. I just hope he opens and reads my letters from here on out. This is killing me!!!

That sucks that it was undeliverable when the address was correct......makes me wonder what really goes on in the mailroom at a prison or jail!

omg it's like the mail has a mind of it's own I hope all that gets worked out cuz you should be able to receive all of your mail not just some ugh what BS I'm waiting on the mail right now, crossing my fingers.. thanks hun.

it does make you wonder.! I don't like ppl messing with my mail.! LOL but in this situation I guess there's no way around it since letters is our primary line of communication..
one time I wrote him a letter n a card with pics n I go outside a bit later n theyre gone! the mailman hadn't come yet cuz it was so early in the morning.. but let me tell you I was furious.! who would do that n why? I had my suspicions but I couldn't "prove" it

That is so messed up! Who the heck would do a thing like that!! That would have burned me up! I would have hunted it down......that much I know for sure!
