International CURE- Funding new websites for international chapters

As you may know, we now have country chapters that are very active and many that are beginning in Africa. Also, India-CURE has now been recognized by the government and this chapter will host our 6th global conference in 2013. The International CURE newsletter co-editors, Rudy and Betty Cypser, and I have been struggling with how we can help these chapters develop. We are very committed to basing our aid on the theme of the United Nations. This is "If you give a person a fish, he or she will eat for a day. However, if you teach a person to fish, he or she will eat for a lifetime."

We don't have big money to help the country chapters but we have decided to pay for a website for each chapter, and to make it possible for each of us to support these new Chapters as thy undertake to “move forward” with the 48 Ways Forward in our International CURE Platform. Besides reporting on the chapter's activities, each chapter will have a link on its website where people in that country as well as anyone in the world can donate to help the new Chapters. A donate button is now on each of three new Chapter websites where donations to that chapter can be specifically given. Using PayPal, each donation will travel first to International CURE. When sufficient money is accumulated, I will send the chapter leader the money by Western Union.

To test how this will work, three websites have been set up so far. They are CURE-Nigeria, Ghana-CURE and Zambia-CURE.
