My husband warned me yesterday they are doing some additions to the inmate's side of the Trulincs/Corrlinks system today so their side of the program would be down. Just wanted to share so if word didn't get out and emails were slowed or stopped completely folks wouldn't be (as) worried.

Can someone give me first hand information about FPC at Pekin IL. How are the COs , How is commissary , can you get sneakers , AM/FM radio from there ( I do not see those on commissary list ) , do you get to leave the facility at all ie for volunteering or jobs etc. ,is it extremely overcrowded , access to showers and washrooms . Thanks so much

The commissary now sells MP3 players and the inmates can download music. I visited my friend there in Nov. Its allot better than a USP. A gym, pool tables, even dart boards. Food sucks, but no surprise there. Little to know violence because nobody wants to risk getting shipped of to a USP. The visitor room is ok...basic tables and chairs, vending machines with high prices.

The staff there is pretty much the same as any other FCI..just there to collect a pay check. So if your guy has a problem or issue...too bad, so sad. The administrative remedy process is a sham.

when i look up my friend on the bop it says he is in fci perkin does that mean he is not in the camp he only got sentenced to three years

Anybody here who did RDAP there? I have someone getting moved there soon for RDAP and he askedd me if I can find him any information as he only hears bad stuff about Pekin and wants to know if their stories are true! Any info is greatly apreciated! Thanks!

What are the stories? As far as staff is concerned, Pekin sucks..they are lazy, have no interest in rehabilitation or anything else that might contribute to inmate moral. Food stinks. Safety-wise. its fairly good. Few fights because nobody wants to get bumped to a higher security facility.
