Question Release date...calculation questions

Hello, my LO is in Federal custody. When I look at the information on FBOP website it shows his date as 07/03/2016. Is that the exact date he will be home? Or does the website not show his good time credit? Need some insight on this. He says that he will be home before the date showing but sometimes I wonder if he is just pacifing me. Does anyone know how to calculate time?

Thank you so much!

The date on the bop website is his total sentence minus the most good time he can earn under the current law (47 days for every 12 months of his sentence). He could possibly earn up to an additional year off by taking the residential drug program (if he is eligible) and he will probably be sent to a community custody half way house near you for about 6 months before his release date. He may also be able to leave the HWH early to live at home with a curfew if he meets the HWH home confinement requirements.

If the second chance reauthorization ever passes congress, 47 days will change to 54 days of per year of his sentence. He can lose good time for serious conduct issues too.
