Set up an account with J-pay they get the emails the next day. It is something like 5 dollars per 20 letters you can also put money on his books using j-pay. You can google j- pay

Try getting a google voice number and he can get a calling card when he goes to commissary it is cheaper and easier than using global tel link.

If you can't get a google number I got a virgin mobile pre pay phone. Paid like 14 for the phone and 20 for 400 minutes a month. You can get an area code based on the zip.

Hope this helps.

The google voice doesn't work with all the state prisons. My man is at Pine Grove and I set up an Indiana # and when he sent the phone list in, it got denied. He said that there were people getting those numbers and selling them to the others on the inside. Good luck with that...

Question why would you get an Indiana area code for a PA prison the calls are cheaper with a local area code?

And how can you sell a google number. It is tied into your phone number and email address. Sounds like something else is going on.

Indiana, PA obviously. They somehow associate the numbers with something from what I'm told.

I use host numbers. It is really cheap like 8 bucks to start it and 8 dollars after that once a month. The calls are a lot cheaper like 90 cents. It's a phone forwarding service and the number is 1-800-300-9525.

My bad I lived in Ohio by the Indiana border for a while forgot about Indiana, PA.

I have been told that if one person has too many numbers they can be denied on the phone list.

The overall reality it is up to the prison or the counselor if the list is approved or denied. It is really hard to tell a google number from a non google number with so many cell phones and what not. If they can tell a google number I would live to know how they do it.

I told Rizz to question it all because I've been trying to figure it out. All he tells me is that people on the outside would get the numbers from GV and pass those numbers on to the inside and they would sell those numbers to whoever would give up the commissary and what not to buy them.
And, I absolutely agree with what you said about it being hard to determine a GV number with all the cell numbers out there but maybe one of them counselors is pretty bored sitting in there and has nothing better to do than determine where those numbers come from...idk.
And I apologize if I appeared to come off a little snippy in my last reply, I thought that I put PA up there and I didn't so my bad...

FOLKS, THIS CONVERSATION IS BORDERING ON A POLICY VIOLATION.

You are discussing the possibility of inmates buying and selling, which is a violation of PA DOC policy, and that makes this a violation of PTO policy.

PA inmates are not allowed to buy, sell, barter or trade. THEY KNOW THAT.

Move this to Private Messaging if you wish to continue.

I checked it out, Bobble. Keep an eye on it. Check you PMs. Thanks!~LT

Please note I understand and respect the policies and PTO and the PADOC.

I was and I am sure in no way was any other party trying to initate any activites that could get our husbands in any further trouble than they already are in. Mine comes home in December.

It was simply questions and anwsers that were in no way intended to violate any policies PTO or the PA DOC. Lesson Learned!
