How long will it take for him to get my letters?

Hey ladies hope u all are having a great day. As for me well trying to be strong as my bf's time in reception just started on thursday. Im sure u all went through withdraws. My question is how long will it take for him to get my letters? I sent him a stationary package and letter on friday and of course one today. How long will it take till he gets them? And another question my bf and I promised each other that we would write each other everyday do any of u do that or was it like that in the beginning then went to 1-2 a week?

Look into state specific forums - there is California general questions one, all you need to know and specific prison forums. I am sure you will find more answers there as he's in Cali (check out the Wasco room)
This is more for general love dovey or not - bf husband stuff.

Anyways... Am sure while you read through the Cali forums you will find the answer but I will answer anyways
You mail to him will take approx 10-14 days.
Post cards from you to him - 3-5 days.
Stationary to him takes about 5-14 days.

Mail from him to you 2-3 days. If its over a weekend then 3 days.. Other wise u should receive it within a couple days.

The rest is on you guys. As much as he decides to write you, and as much as your dedicated to writing him. Every relationship is different.
Some couple write one or two a week. Some write 5-7 a week. The amount of mail now or 8 months from now depends on how much each of you is willing to put in.
This week for example I received 4 letters from my man. Some weeks I only get 2. I try to write as often as I can. I send a lot of post cards (about 3 a week) along with greeting cards AND long ass letters (like 10 page long) that go into detail about things. Post cards and greeting cards are more for I love yous and cutesy stuff. Letters are more in depth. Mix it up that way you always have something to send out.


Please keep in mind every state is different, this is why you should address your question to the relevant state you guys are in.

It usually depends on how far away you live from the prison, I live relatively close to my fiancée's prison so he usually gets my mail within two days, but sometimes that's not a guarantee like when they get backed up in the mailroom, like last week he ended up getting letters from me which I sent like two weeks before :/ it gets annoying sometimes, and sometimes the same thing happens with the letters he sends me too....Im really new to the whole process too, he's only been in there like 2 months now and he hasn't been sentenced either which sucks but before I was writing him like every other day but now i've started writing him every day because I know how much he loves it when he hears his name get called for mail and he sees my name on the envelope
