I'm having one of those days - Had to justify my MWI relationship

Well, hello everyone!!!! Like my title says I'm having one of those days. I found myself defining my relationship to my sister and best friend. All the concerns they are having about me being with him I have myself and I have talk with him about more than once. It sucks cause they don't understand why i would want to be someone in prison. I wasn't expecting to ever be with anyone in prison. That was a no no for me usually I would run the other way. I met my bf back in oct 2011 when he told me he was in prison I was like ok and he ask would I continue to keep in touch. I let him know I wasn't looking for a relationship and we could be friends. We talk here and there from oct to dec and he wanted to write me but I wouldn't give him my address cause I'm staying with my sister. But, eventually I gave in and in Jan 2012 our friendship develop into something more. So, we been inseparatable (can't spell haha) since then. It's been a very long since I've been happy in a relationship. He makes me very happy or should say we make each other happy. The point of all of this is that I'm enjoying the moment now and we are still getting to know each and whatever that takes us I'm looking forward to it. I don't have any high expectation cause at any moment things can change like the weather. I guess I want them to be happy for me but that's wishful thinking. They will never fully understand !!!!! Omg, just ramble on but I had to vent and I feel better now

Why do or did you feel the need to justify anything to anybody?

I don't justify my relationship to ANYONE. I don't have to! You shouldn't have to either. No one will understand unless they have been there, so you will never be able to make them understand. Just tell them "If you love me and trust my judgement, then support me or we can just not discuss it"

Don't make yourself crazy trying to justify things to people who won't/can't understand. If they love you they will just be glad you are happy.

If i were you i would have pulled a medea saying : 1800- choke that hoe! Shoot you dont need to justify your relationship with anybody.

I don't tell anyone what to do in their relationships or lives..I'm always supportive to them even if its "I hate that SOB one day n then the next day its yeah we talked..its cool"

which means I expect the same..the only person I have to justify anything to is the lady that I look at in the mirror
