Default Realizing how fortunate I am.

Right now I have all the stress I can take, 7 months pregnant, bf in jail, raising my sisters daughter, school. But as I go through this whole site not just boyfriends and husbands in prison I see moms with children doing life and I see wives and gf's standing by their men that have 10 20 even life and some on death row it really makes me feel lucky to have my LO coming home in a few months. I mean some days I feel like I'm in the worst situation ever then I see what others are struggling through and I just feel awful and selfish for complaining. So many ppl suffer at the hands of judges, LO'S mistakes, prisons, and it truly is a tragic thing. My hearts and prayers go out to the ones that will never see their LO walk out those gates and deal with that every day. Stay strong ladies and may peace be with you.

Seeing what other people are going through certainly puts things in perspective, doesn't it? That's one of the great things about PTO... we have so much to learn from one another; our diverse membership gives us a broader understanding and greater empathy for one another.

But you do have a lot on your plate! Other people's hardships do not negate yours, though it is awesome of you to think of them. I hope you're taking time for yourself and relaxing when you can.

I moved your thread to The Lounge because it's applicable to all PTO members.

I learned real quick to quit complaining and feeling sorry for myself.
I have a job, and family support (not so much $$ wise, but emotional wise)
I have a place to live.
My hubby had an out date. (he's now out, but waited for 5 yrs and a few months)
so yeah....you get some perspective when you read in other forums.
