Notice to new members intending to register - from January 9th 2012

Please be aware that, due to difficulties arising from issues with Yahoo and AOL, we have changed our registration requirements.

Users with email addresses from yahoo.com, yahoo.co.uk and aol.com will no longer be able to use them to create a new account.
We have had a long-standing problems with these mail services and have found that it is almost impossible to send out account activations to new users who have Yahoo or AOL providers.

Please use an alternative email address; hotmail, gmail etc.

Smile Intro--JenJo from Arizona
Hi - My name is JenJo and I have recently began corresponding with someone in prison via a prison pen pal website. He has 4-5 years left in his sentence and in the very beginning stages of getting to know one another.

I have found reading many of the posts over the last week or so very interesting. I thought joining would help give me some more insight to what my pen pal/friend and his family deals with, etc. I wish to be of a support system to him.

I look forward to meeting others who are communicating with others in prison and learn from one another.

Welcome JenJo,

I am also new to PTO. I met my Loved one MWI (while in prison) and it has been a wild ride to say the least. However, my situation is a little different than most, in that, he has been in prison for 22yrs. on a wrongful conviction and I, and his attorneys, are actively working on getting his conviction overturned.

I am sure your friend is grateful that you have chosen to write him. Having been in prison in AZ. myself (long ago) I know that mail is cherished and the highlight of their days. Truly it is.

Take a look around the site and you might find other forums and experiences that interest you as well.

Give Arizona a big hug for me---I miss it!

I too used to have penpals (once eventually became my MWI and we have met several times as he's since been released - i'm on the countdown until my next visit Lol)
