Confused on his sentence

I have a question. My bf is facing life in prison. He has been convicted, got his third strike. The minimum he is facing equals life in prison, he is from Monterey County...what reception prison will he be sent too.

Also, in the event that he does not get life in prison....will he be eligible for "Family Visits". I'm confused as to all of this and would appreciate help.

Also..one last thing....he was convicted in March, how long should it take for him to get sentenced?

if he got a third strike he risks very much to get life. if not, this would be real big luck.
and if he has life, he will not have family visits.

for the reception: I am not sure for the rules.... but to me it looks guys go where there is some space available. the same for the prison.

this seems to be a hard road you have to travel!

He should have been given a date when he will return to court for sentencing, if not then call his attorney I'm sure they can tell you.

Anyone that has "life" get no family visits.
They can go to any high security prison,even out of state and way across the country.
I'm so very sorry!
Hang in there and see what happens but it sounds like he will get at least 25-life for a third strike.
