I absolutely love this thread.....and have tears in my eyes. This whole experience has brought us closer than I ever thought possible. I have definitely learned and have grown from this experience. Forced to face my fears but not afraid anymore....because I know that by being a supportive faithful woman that no matter what the future holds I will always know that I have given this my ALL 100% and I have never felt as APPRECIATED as I do now. I praise each and every one of you faithful people holding your LO down while incarcerated. At the beginning of this we thought it was going to be some years in at least the 2 digits and it scared the hell out of me.....I even doubted myself that I could stay but I tell you after a year of this life I know in my heart that I wouldn't have it any other way....and if found in this situation again I know my heart would not let me stray away from our love....he is my soul mate............be proud to be the loved one of an inmate.....its definitely NOT something for the weak......Only Strong loving people can live this life.......but IMO if you truly love someone there is no other choice.

To the ladies who has 3 full time jobs - Raising your children, 40+ hours at work and Take care of they man

To all the ladies who sacrificed a big blinged out wedding for a simple ceremony behind the wall.

To all the ladies who choose, day in and day out, to be a part of this misunderstood, severely judged lifestyle.

To all the ladies who try to stay in control when the DOC controls everything.

To the all the ladies who have spent countless holidays alone/without their loved ones.

To all the ladies who have hit & killed a deer while driving 11+ hours (one way) which caused thousands of dollars worth of car damage just to visit their man. (oh wait, maybe I'm the only lady that has experienced that...LMAO)

To all the ladies who might have hundreds of facebook friends, yet feels a closer, stronger connection to the "strangers" on PTO.

To all YOU wonderful, strong, awe-inspiring ladies....I applaud you!!

To the ones that can see the power of forgiveness is stronger than concrete and steel, and devote their love and effort to building support, guidance, and faith rather than prison cells, walls, and degradation.

To the ones who come to the prisons to share their time with people they would have never met otherwise.

To the ones who see the person crying in the waiting room and put an arm around them to let them know they are not alone.

To the ones that make calls to others who are waiting on a word from their missing loved one - you know you just made a difference!

I know this is directed to us women, but I think everyone who reads this - young and old, man and woman - can feel the power of coming together to really define a culture in society that is grossly misrepresented. This thread shows the true power of coming together and speaking the truth! We are not separate from the rest of the world, but we are misunderstood by them.

And all this is true, and we should print it out and send it to our loved ones and husbands and friends in prison to show them what is happened for real there outside and how hard we fight.
They are blessed with the strong women, stronger than they are mostly, and I think they often forget this.
