Default Parole Board...just another one of their money making scams!

Parole was legally ended 1995 for those convicted on or after July1, 1995. But the "old law" prisoners are still under parole board control, so they just deny them parole for SEVENTEEN years now, (keeping their high paying jobs and huge agency offices) denying parole to prisoners who under curent law would receive half or less of the time to be served. And the brilliant Ohio law makers provided NO appeal rights to inept parole dicisions and the brilliant Ohio taxpayers turn the other tax dollar to pay for it all. The vindictive, judgmental comments show sheer ignorance of the problem. The parole board has literally WASTED hundreds of millions of dollars over the years denying parole to some of the most qualified prisoners while releasing some of the most dangerous to society, literally creating and feeding the hostile attitudes towards parolees who go out and recommit crimes. Most prisoners go out and adjust (against tremendous discrimination and financial odds) to law abiding citizens again. Under the old system the prisoner was supposed to EARN GOOD DAYS and be released at the first hearing and given a chance to re-enter society and become a tax payer. Instead, the parole board (which the Governor is NOT properly supervising) wastes all that money. Those hundreds of millions over the years could be used for schools, anything but useless warehousing of people who deserve a chance. For a so-called "christian" society, Ohio has no compassion and in this economy, wasting tax dollars is inept fiscal policy. Ohio deserves to go bankrupt wasting money like this. The agency is called the Department of REHABILITATION AND CORRECTION. When a person shows he has been rehabilitated and corrected (and the state spends millions on such programs) WHERE IS THE REWARD? Oh, the state is WASTING programming money too, on people who are rehabilitated and then sit on a bunk for another five years? Wow, what brilliant leadership! Let the Ohio taxpayer eat cake....
