Notice to new members intending to register - from January 9th 2012

So my babe just got transferred and he was supposed to do his home placement paper work in August, I got a letter form him today sayin he had to be reclassified... hes now at Little Sandy... will he still get to do his home placement in August? He didnt tell me why, but he hasnt gotten into any trouble and he was like hopefully Ill still get out in a few months... Im worried?

Yes, he should still get to do his paperwork. No worries.

Do you have any idea as to why they would reclassify someone?

It is usually done yearly for everyone on or near the date they were incarcerated.

Also, when one is moved to a new prison they are reclassified as well. They weigh out the scores to determine the inmates custody level. We have had so many reclassifications and it finally went well, his custody level got lowered to minimum and we were so excited and then just recently he was reclassified again and he is now community custody. Its not always bad to be reclassed because it could actually help if the inmate is doing well. Good luck.

I have no idea what classification he is. Something that never comes up. We dont do a lot of prison talk.
