Default How do I find my family's roots?

I only have one person to go to for my familys bckground a lot of my family has passed away. Before my aunt died she did research on our familys background and traced our roots to a tribe called black-foot indian. Sadly we wernt able to get the sources she used so I am basically starting from scratch. I have a grandmother can rember a lot of our familys names and where they lived so I am basically looking for a website or number, etc so I can trace my roots. I have a toddler and I want to be able to tell him where he comes from. My husband is still connected to his tribe in L.a. so I want to give him information on my side thanks

Try Ancestry dot com......you may find a lot of information on there. Or you could contact the tribe your people belonged to and see if they can help you.

Good luck!

Peace~
