OMG I just read this thread and I'm in shock!!

I didn't know her that well but I did talk with her a few times... OMG I can't believe this! I surely send a card to her husband, it's next thing I'm doing. My prayers are with the family. Oh God how sad. *sigh*

I was in shock when I read the shout out. I am so very sorry to hear about her death. She was a wonderful supporter. I always searched for her posts when something caught my eye. It hurts deeply to know she is gone. She will be greatly missed. My prayers go out to her family.

May she Rest in Peace..I was also shocked when I read this..she had some great advice..I just..I don't even know what to say..Life is just so short..I realize this more and more each day..God rest her Soul..

I hope she's w/ the angels watching over her loved ones..

Thanks to everyone who has sent Bruce cards. I know Mattie is looking down smiling on us trying to comfort him in his time of need. If Bruce happens to mention anything to my husband about recieving cards ill be sure to let you all know.

I can't believe this, I haven't been on in awhile because I've been so busy. To come back and read this is so deeply sad. It's hard when you loose a member of your family and that's what she was to all of us. May she rest in peace, my thoughts and prayers go out to Bruce in his time of need.

All i have to say is when I read this tears were rolling down my face. I didn't know her at all but what I read from all you guys that knew and talked to her she seemed like a sweet caring loving woman. I wished I had a chance on chatting with her. Gosh, My thoughts & prayers are with Bruce & her family & friends on this horrible lost. God Bless

Hi everyone,

My brother, Bruce, was Mattie's (caprione) husband. I can only say that what I have read here I know would do him a lot of good and I thank you all for your kind words and your prayers.

This is my first time doing this so if anyone would like my brother's address, tell me how I can get it to you. Do you email direct? post it here? (I am assuming no on this one but since this is a prison related site, I wasn't sure).

I am blown away by the news....just goes to show how fleeting life can be. Although I didn't know Mattie personally, I loved reading her posts, and thought of her as a highly intelligent and caring woman. Having a friend that is deaf, I know how valuable Mattie's work was...both to her, and to others.

I will send Bruce a card, and to his sister...welcome to PTO. My heartfelt condolences go out to you and your nephew.

I visited with Bruce on Saturday after the service and he mentioned that he had received condolence cards from people he hadn't heard of and then he mentioned that caprione was Mattie's screen name and that people could come together to talk about having loved ones in prison.

He is getting better and appreciates each and every thought, prayer, and card he has received.

I made a promise to myself that I would go to see him more often since this has happened and it is good to know there is a place where people can come and talk about their loved ones in prison.

Thank you to whoever started this and I will be back soon.

Oh my goodness. I am at a loss what to say as I just learned of this very tragic and sad news. This is just terrible. It has to be extra hard on her husband. I am just terribly saddened by this news.
Everyone will be in my prayers for a brighter tommorrow.
I will send Bruce a belated sympathy card for sure in the morning.
None of us have any promise of another moment other than the one we have now, I would pray that we always tell our loved ones how much we love them each and every time we are in contact with them.
May she rest in peace.

I just heard of this news..I'm so very sorry to hear about this terrible news. My prayers and thoughts are with Bruce, thank you babysis for coming in and telling everyone hes doing ok. I can't believe this...b.c everyone is so close here it feels like a family member is lost

Im so glad that Bruce is doing ok. I met Mattie on a few visits that I went to, to see my husband at wyoming. We had first met on the computer and she was always there to talk to me when I had any questions or was just feeling lonely. Im glad he appreciates the cards, I am the one who posted his info but was leary of doing so. I wasnt sure if hed be mad or appreciative that sompone posted his info as mattie didnt even want to give me thier last name till she asked him. I figured that all of the support might help him in his time of need though. Im glad you found PTO and welcome, anytime you wanna talk send me a pm.
