Default Andrew Flores TX RIP

I recieved this in my email this morning and thought I would pass it on.

softie

The following letter is from Letty Gonzales, sister of Andrew Flores,
scheduled to die in Texas Sept 21. She has given me permission to post
her letter as a reminder to all of us just how real the horror of
execution is and how urgent our goal is. Please keep Andrew and his
family in your heart and get those clemency letters out.

Nancy

My name is Letty Gonzales I am a sister of a man who is set to be
executed on the 21st of Sept. I just finished writing clemency
letters for him to stop this horrible sentencing. I believe that on
the 21st of this month if my brother is executed that me and my
family become victims of the states hand. I hope and pray that people
can open their hearts and there eys and see that this just doesnt
work. I pray that one day we can Abolish the Deathpenalty.

This is so sad, but it is so true. The families becomes victims too. I saw on the news tonight in South Africa, the people are chanting to bring back the death penalty here. I just wish i could tell them to come to PTO, read these posts or even write a person on Death Row. They would change their minds i am sure. I hope he gets the clemency he needs. He and his family are in my thoughts.

This is so true Its just one vicious cycle in the system.
My heart goes out to Letty and her family. This is just tragic

all our prayers are with your family. this is soo sad. who is the one that determines
this "eye for an eye" penalty stuff? do they really think that killing this man is going to make the victims family feel better? they arent punishing only him but now they are punishing his family in the harshest way possible. I pray for you all and I pray for the day there is no more death penalty.

Although I never met Letty, I too am feeling her pain and my heart goes out to her, Andrew, and the whole family. I knew Andrew in 1990 or 1991 and attended high school with him. He is a great person who made a mistake! I am hoping and preying for a last-minute clemency. After this sleepless night, I've been reading through his old letters and waiting for the latest news--hoping that they deliver good news.
My heart also goes out to the victim's family as well, but nothing good comes to those who seek revenge. This isn't going to bring their family member back. This will only create another victim and another mourning family.

My heart goes out to all those that are close to Andrew. My thoughts and prayers are with them on this day. I am not making light of the crime that was committed but I do not feel that justice will be served this evening. Another family will lose a son, a father, a brother, a close friend. This is justice? I think not.

This is so sad i was Reading that news paper today and i saw that Andrew Flores last day is september 21st. and that reason why,was just to sad for me. i dont see how can somebody make a family go thought so much pain by taking there dearly one. for such i low crime. i dont know andrew or either do i know his family but what i do know is that there is so many criminals out there who has rape females KIDS and even olderly people.those who shoot up schools and kill numbers of people. those who kill just for fun....just straight sick people, those are that onces that need to to rest.but HELL NO when i comes to punishment they are mentally ill or these or stupid reasons. but when i latino make on lil mistake for whatever reason. its time to kill. not keeping in mind or even trying to find out why he did what he did.....

i'll pray for his family and for him.... hoping this is just a nightmare for all of us.

love to all of his family.......
