I had to giggle at Dannysmom's note. John is my honey and hopefully some day my husband. And Austin is his little boy from a previous relationship. I'm only 23...no grandkids for me LOL
He never got moved from county jail. They were going to send him to Bonne Terre, and then the PO had said he'd probably go to Booneville. Instead, yesterday we got the news that the PO was not going to revoke his Parole and he'd be getting out on Christmas Eve. :fb: I can not stop smiling!
The only thing is some of my friends are giving me grief about letting him stay with me. We've been friends since before either of us hit puberty, but this is still a new relationship. Everybody keeps telling me that I'm making a big mistake by letting him do his house arrest at my place.
I suppose we'll just see what happens. I'm not going to turn him away. His family ran out on him when he was in his pre-teens. I'm not going to run out on him also.

Life's about taking chances. You don't try, you don't ask - you don't get Your friends concerns are commendable, in that they care about you - but if it was their partners - would they think you're entitled to have a say? Go for it, girl. God plans - if our life is meant to be with this man - it'll happen My man was on Death Row - I've even had friends cruel enough, and well-intentioned (??) enough to say that if he is released, he'll be so marked by the experience he'll be traumatised enough to kill me. Well, if that's the way God planned it - that's what's meant to happen.. Personally - I believe in things happening for a reason, and believe we'll get through anything if we just stand strong. You stand by your man, your love, and your beliefs, until you've got anything other than hearsay to prove you wrong

Hi this is Nicksmom and my son just came to Cameron Missouri last week he is in{WMCC} western mo correctional center. He was in St.Joseph before that and in Liberty Missouri for 11 months. We have been having medical problems with him he was doing great in liberty than when they transfered him to st.joseph they decided to change his medicine. he was having seizures and having troble walking the inmates were helping him and watching over him. Finally I received the information that I needed on this web site. I e-mailed the Institutional Chief of Mental Health for Western Missouri, they e-mailed me back the same day. I'm sure glad I found this Forum. God Bless you all

Nicksmom, which side is your son on? My son is there also. If he is on the same side with my son the first place they go is into housing unit 10.

Are you going to visit on Christmas? If so maybe I'll see you there. I'm going in the afternoon and evening session. We've planned a food visit. Maybe we'll run into each other sometime.

Default Still around!!

Hey folks!! Just dropping in to say hey. Honey didn't get to come home on Christmas Eve as planned. His PO decided to make him wait another week. So he comes home tomorrow, which happens to be his birthday on top of New Year's Eve. One week sure beats six years, and at least we'll get to bring in the new year together. But I swear the minutes have been creeping by this past week LOL

Hope you all had a Merry Christmas

Kathy,
I am sure it has been a very slow week for you but just think of the rewards at the end. I know you are very anxiously awaiting the appointed time to go and pick him up and bring him home.
Good luck .

Hi all Happy New Year! My name is Jen and my husband is a perm at FRDC serving a 4 year sentence. He is scheduled for parole May 13th. (So long as he stays out of trouble) He keeps forgetting to sign out. So I made him put post it notes in his hat, gloves on his TV, bed etc. Because next time he will go to the hole. I know quite a bit about FRDC. My mom worked there for 15 years and recently retired. Jen

Hi, my name is Luckydky. I live in Jefferson County and my b/f is in Pacific. He is waiting to see which treatment center he will be sent to. Could be anywhere, hopefully not too far. We were together before he went in.

Luckydky ,
If I am right I think fulton has a treatment center. That should be really close. My son is in ST. Joseph and that is a drug treatment center plus diagnostic center. Good luck with his placement.
Has you b/f always been in pacific?

Luckydky,

Depending on what treatment he is going for ... A lot of them also go to Farmington. We used to be at Pacific, but have since transferred to Bowling Green. When we were at Pacific most of the guys that left for treatment went to Farmington.

Thanks for replying. I'm worried because my b/f said that he may go to Maryville and it's about 5 hours away from St.L. I don't see why they would send him so far away from his family. He is in for DWI's. :argh

Hi, thanks for replying. No, he was in Bonne Terre diagnostic center first, from July to Sept. Then he was sent to Pacific with the intention of sending him to a treatment center. I hear that the treatment can be anywhere from 9 months to a year and then he will be eligible for parole.

My son is in Missouri system. His fiance is in the system there also. The other son just was re-incarcerated there as well. I am writing to a friend in the system. I have other male family who have been there and are out now or on their way back in. I don't get it. Just when I think I understand someone else is arrested and put in jail out there. It's scary and I am afraid most of the time. I am very afraid.
