Ok so I called his CO ans she told me to call her back on Thursday so keep your fingers crossed for me all please, I would like "Special Visit"with him alone once before sharing a visit with his mom and his kids, am I being selfish, but I haven't seen him in 4 years they haven't seen him in like 6 months or 3 month.

When my hubby was Everglades about 2 years ago, it was the best. Viso was great, i never had a problem there. ...... It so far has been the best Camp to have visit. of course im sure by now the officers have changed. i know since my hubby left they have gone thru 2 Wardens....

Mrs. Pulga my man just got transferred there from Charlotte, OMG we were so happy he got the heck from that place. Rocksright, this was an old post that I tried gettin the same answers from LOL, I can't go visit him yet so I am unsure how visits are, but please do share your experience with me, ,the DO's and DON'T, and I hope u enjoy ur visit.

No one has really given me any new info, but what I can tell u is it a pretty calm camp. I have yet to go through the whole visitation things, I have 2 more weeks til I can finally see him again, so I can't really give u info on that. The ony info on vizo I can give u is they only have 1 day visits. Right now if there last number is even there day is Sat. odd is Sun, then I think in July they switch. Sat. and Sun they have the phone all day up until 1030. Mon-Fri phones go on somewhere around I believe either 3 or 4 and stay on til 1030. My man has only been there for about 3 months and so far he says its been good and he can see himself doin his time there with no problem. If u have any specific questions just let me know if I can answer them I will be glad to help u as much as u can. Are u allowed to visit ur boyfriend?

I jus recently got off probation, so i wasent able to ever vist him. i jus sent in my viso form a few weeks ago so im jus waitin to get approved. cant wait to finally b able to see him.

It won't let me copy and paste but in the rules this is what it states
"Termination from community supervision in any jurisdiction within the past one year"
If you just recently got off probation you must wait one year after you've been terminated from probation in order to be approved to visit. If it hasn't been one year odds are you may be denied. I have seen cases where the victim in a case has been approved and where someone that was out on bond also got approved. The whole bond thing I can't see how soemone can be approved to visit when they can't even leave certain counties, but they did. I wish u luck.

I am nervous because I do not know what to expect. At his old camp they weren't really strict when it came to dress code but I have heard how a lot of camps are more strict on it, so I guess we will see.

I am just e-mailing to provide information to those who visit to the Everglades Correctional Instituion regrading Memorial Day weekend. There will be a 3 day visitation, however Saturday and Sunday will remain as usual and Monday will be 1st come 1st serve.

Can someone tell me how visitation is there? Is it crowded? How is the check-in there done, etc.

P.S. I am asking because my ministry has a bus going down there from Central Florida and heading to, Everglades CI, SFRC, Miami CI and Homestead CI to visit all days. This information will help us help our family and friends that will be joining us on the trip. The bus is leaving late Friday night and spending the night Saturday, Sunday and leaving after visitation on Monday heading back to Central Florida. We will be picking family and friends up from different locations. If you are interested, please pm me and I will give you more info.

I can give you any and all info u may need regarding this institution. People start lining up by the fence at 6am sometimes a little earlier. You can not pass the fence until 730am. At 730 you drive up and around this road til you reach a stop sign right in front of the prison.You must stop there and stay there until you see someone walk out to the parking with papers in there hand. Then you start moving and must take a paper for every family you are with. Ex. If you have 5 different famalies with you seeing 5 different loved ones you must take 5 papers from the guard. Each set of people seeing one inmate must put all there names on the paper, even if they are a baby, name must be on that paper. At around 815 they start calling numbers, the number will be in the top right hand corner. Processing is pretty quick if you have been there before because you already have a pin number and have a picture etc. If it is there first time they want to let the guard know when there number is called or it will hold the line up and everyone else. They will need there ID they will have to take a picture and have to do there hand print and get a pin number. Once inside all u go into a hall where someone will come out and take your paper from you. There is a seperate room for males and females to be checked but they are pretty nice and quick with that. Once actually inside the visiting park find a seat and just be patient because they DO NOT allow our loved ones out of there dorms til 900 not a second early. At 9 they will start letting them in but only 2 out a time then about 5 min later 2 more will come out, 5 min later 2 more and so on. It does get busy and crowded. Other then Easter and Mothers Day I have not experienced and actual SPECIAL visit yet to know just how busy and crowded it gets, but I am assuming since they had to split visitation into 1 day each its that busy, so for EVERYONE to have a visit on a day I could just imagine just how busy and crazy it will be. Oh yea and instead of visitation ending at 3, EVERY VISITOR must be out of the visiting park before 3, so at about 245 the lights start flicking and everyone must leave. NO TIGHT CLOTHES, they will make u change! So bring extra clothes just in case. I been visiting since March and I still bring extra clothes. The guards are not that bad, they are pretty laid back, but if someone "IMPORTANT" is there, they will be strict but nice at the sametime. People do line up, but its not bad. I use to get there by 6 and try to fall asleep in the car and it didn't work so I would sit there for almost 3 hrs doing nothing so now I leave at 6 630 because no matter what time u get there thye can't come out of there dorms until 9, and it don't matter what number u are they don't come out in the order you came. I know before I was the first one in line and my man didn't come out til almost 945. That's the only thing that sucks, it takes long for them to come out and they only let 2 people out at a time.

King just got to everglades c i he has been there a week to day. he just came from moore have cf i like it bcuz its the closest he has been since 2005 his visitation day is sunday

We dont have much activity for region iv. and most of the posts are two yrs old or better. not many polls at all. PTO moderators and members we need to be active participants. king has been in region iv for years know he went to region iii for a couple years and came back to region iv. he was at moore haven cf since 2009 & HE has been at everglades c i for a week today i just suggest more participation i will do my part thanks just my thoughts
