What North Carolina Prison Is Your Loved One In???

My husband is at Alexander Correctional (3 hours away from me). Hoping to get moved back to Dan River in Jan. which is only 1/2 hour from me. If anyone knows much about A.C.I. please p.m. me.....Tomorrow is my first visit there and I'm soooo confused!

This is the fourth time my husband has been transferred. He is in Caledonia and I think he will be there until his release date in June. Is there anything special or different about this prison?? I haven't gone for visitation but I could tell when I made the appointment with the visitation officer that they seem a lot stricter with how many visitors are allowed to come at once.

Hello Everyone:

Does anyone know of a less expensive way to receive phone calls from an inmate? My husband mentioned that supposedly there was going to be a new system and phone calls would be cheaper. He is in Caledonia. Is there only one phone company you can use? I have Time Warner Cable so I always have to pre-pay because TWC doesn't have the capability to get collect calls. Anyone have any ideas or answers for me please?

Caledonia used to be a maximum facility so visitation is a whole lot stricter than other mediumfacilities. There is no touching (not even holding hands) between the inmate and visitors except at the beginning and end.

My sperm doner is currently located there and will hopefully remain there. I got a stay whenever some law changed in 2007 or 2006 not allowing person's with his crime to be allowed to get out early for "good time".
I am sorry for those who got sentenced harshly however this man, I have NO mercy for. He recieved a 16 yr sentence and was going to get out in 8 yrs 9 months. To us it was a slap in the face. I am sorry for venting here but it was the aniversary date this month and I had no where else to let this out. So thank you and Best wishes to all and their families.
